Crockpot Steak Bites are tender, juicy, and packed with savory flavor—an easy, hands-off slow cooker recipe that’s perfect for weeknights or hearty comfort meals. With minimal prep and simple ingredients, these melt-in-your-mouth steak bites are perfect over mashed potatoes, rice, or vegetables.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 to 2 lbs steak (sirloin, chuck, or stew meat), cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Optional garnish: fresh thyme or rosemary

Instructions

  1. Season steak cubes with salt, pepper, and onion powder.
  2. (Optional) Sear steak in a skillet with olive oil or butter until browned on all sides.
  3. Transfer steak to crockpot.
  4. Add garlic, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce. Stir to combine.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6–8 hours or high for 3–4 hours, until tender.
  6. Stir gently before serving. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

  • Searing the meat adds depth of flavor but can be skipped for a faster prep.
  • For a richer variation, substitute part of the broth with red wine.
  • Add mushrooms or pearl onions to make it a one-pot meal.
  • Use low-sodium soy sauce or skip entirely for a lower-sodium version.
  • Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, egg noodles, or crusty bread.
