This Crockpot Angel Chicken Delight is a creamy, comforting, and effortless slow cooker recipe that transforms simple chicken breasts into a rich and savory dinner. With cream cheese, cream of mushroom soup, and Italian dressing mix, this dish is the perfect easy weeknight comfort meal—delicious served over angel hair pasta or rice.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of mushroom soup
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ¼ cup dry white wine (or additional chicken broth)
  • 1 packet (0.7 oz) Italian dressing mix

Instructions

  1. Place chicken breasts in a single layer in the crockpot.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together cream cheese, cream of mushroom soup, chicken broth, wine (or more broth), and Italian dressing mix until smooth.
  3. Pour the sauce evenly over the chicken.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 5–6 hours or high for 3–4 hours, until chicken is tender and fully cooked.
  5. Stir the sauce gently and shred or slice the chicken if desired.
  6. Serve warm over angel hair pasta, rice, mashed potatoes, or steamed vegetables.

Notes

  • Add sliced mushrooms or spinach in the last hour of cooking for extra veggies.
  • For a tangier flavor, substitute lemon juice for the wine.
  • Lighten it up with reduced-fat cream cheese and low-sodium soup.
  • Great with boneless thighs for extra flavor.
  • For a baked pasta twist, combine with cooked noodles and top with cheese before baking.
