Crispy Air Fryer Potatoes are the ultimate side dish—perfectly golden, seasoned, and ready in under 30 minutes. With a crunchy outside and fluffy center, these air-fried potatoes are healthier than deep-frying and easier than oven-roasting. Serve them with dipping sauces for a snack or alongside your favorite dinner.

Ingredients

  • lbs baby potatoes or Yukon gold potatoes, quartered
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp dried thyme or rosemary (optional)
  • ¾ tsp kosher salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp freshly grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • Fresh chopped parsley, for garnish (optional)
  • Optional dips:
  • Sour cream with chives
  • Garlic aioli
  • Ranch dressing
  • Spicy ketchup

Instructions

  1. Wash and quarter potatoes evenly.
  2. Soak in cold water for 15–20 minutes for extra crispiness. Dry thoroughly.
  3. Toss potatoes with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, herbs, salt, pepper, and Parmesan (if using).
  4. Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3–5 minutes.
  5. Arrange potatoes in a single layer. Cook at 400°F for 15–20 minutes, shaking halfway through.
  6. Plate hot. Garnish with parsley, extra cheese, or dipping sauce as desired.

Notes

  • Don’t overcrowd the basket—work in batches if needed.
  • Try Cajun seasoning, lemon zest, or fresh garlic for flavor variations.
  • For loaded potatoes, top with cheese, bacon, and green onions after cooking.
  • Best served hot and crispy straight from the air fryer.
