A luxurious yet simple seafood dish featuring tender lobster tails seared and finished in a rich garlic butter cream sauce. Bright lemon and Parmesan enhance the natural sweetness of the lobster, creating a restaurant-worthy meal perfect for special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 4 lobster tails
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Prepare lobster tails by cutting down the top of the shell and lifting the meat above the shell while keeping it attached at the base.
  2. Pat lobster meat dry and season lightly with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  4. Place lobster tails meat-side down and sear for 2–3 minutes. Carefully flip.
  5. Add remaining butter and minced garlic, spooning melted garlic butter over the lobster as it cooks.
  6. Pour in heavy cream and simmer gently for 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened.
  7. Stir in Parmesan cheese, lemon juice, and lemon zest.
  8. Cook until lobster meat is opaque and fully cooked, avoiding overcooking.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley and spoon extra sauce over the top before serving.

Notes

  • Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for subtle heat.
  • Deglaze the pan with dry white wine before adding cream for deeper flavor.
  • Reduce cream slightly for a lighter version.
  • Serve over pasta for a complete main course.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 2 days and reheat gently.
  • Avoid overcooking to prevent rubbery texture.
