Cranberry Brie with Honey-Balsamic Cranberry Sauce is a warm and festive appetizer featuring gooey baked Brie topped with a sweet-tart cranberry sauce infused with honey and balsamic vinegar. It’s a perfect holiday party dish that’s elegant, flavorful, and easy to make.

Ingredients

  • 1 wheel of Brie (812 oz)
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp orange zest (optional)
  • Pinch of salt
  • Fresh thyme or rosemary for garnish (optional)
  • Crackers, toasted baguette slices, or apple slices for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a small saucepan, combine cranberries, honey, balsamic vinegar, orange zest, and salt. Cook over medium heat for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cranberries burst and sauce thickens slightly.
  3. Place the Brie on a parchment-lined baking dish or oven-safe skillet.
  4. Spoon the warm cranberry sauce over the Brie.
  5. Bake for 10–15 minutes, until the Brie is soft and melty in the center.
  6. Let rest for a few minutes, garnish with fresh herbs, and serve warm with crackers or fruit.

Notes

  • For a fancier version, wrap the Brie in puff pastry before topping with sauce and baking.
  • Add chopped nuts to the cranberry topping for crunch.
  • Make the cranberry sauce up to 3 days in advance and store in the fridge.
