Cinnamon Roll Cookies combine the soft, buttery texture of sugar cookies with the sweet, spiced swirl of a classic cinnamon roll. Topped with a light glaze, these cookies are perfect for holidays, gifting, or cozy afternoons. Easy to make and totally irresistible—no yeast or rising time required!

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 23 tablespoons milk or cream (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Cream together butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Add egg and vanilla extract; mix until well combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture to form a soft dough.
  4. Roll dough into a rectangle (about 1/4 inch thick) on a floured surface.
  5. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Sprinkle evenly over rolled dough.
  6. Carefully roll dough into a log, wrap tightly in plastic wrap, and chill for at least 1 hour.
  7. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  8. Slice chilled dough into 1/2-inch cookies and arrange on baking sheets.
  9. Bake for 10–12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden. Let cool on wire racks.
  10. Whisk together powdered sugar and milk to form a glaze. Drizzle over cooled cookies.
