This decadent Cinnamon Roll Apple “Lasagna” is a layered dessert that blends gooey cinnamon rolls, tender spiced apples, and rich caramel drizzle into one irresistible bake. Perfect for cozy mornings, holiday brunches, or crowd-pleasing desserts, it delivers autumn flavors in every bite.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups peeled, diced apples (about 4 medium apples)
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 2 cans refrigerated cinnamon rolls (8 rolls per can), icing packets reserved
  • Extra flour (for dusting surface)
  • ¼ cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

  1. Preheat to 375°F (190°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking dish.
  2. Toss diced apples with sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Set aside.
  3. Flatten each cinnamon roll into 3–4 inch disks.
  4. Layer as follows: bottom layer of flattened cinnamon rolls, half of the apple mixture, 2–3 tbsp caramel sauce; repeat for middle layer; top with final roll layer and remaining caramel.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  6. Remove foil and bake another 10 minutes until golden.
  7. Let cool for 15 minutes. Drizzle reserved icing packets on top.
  8. Cut into 9–12 portions and serve warm, optionally with vanilla ice cream.
