Cilantro Lime Honey Garlic Salmon is a flavorful and vibrant dish featuring tender salmon fillets glazed with a zesty blend of lime juice, honey, garlic, and fresh cilantro. Quick to prepare and bursting with sweet-savory freshness, it’s perfect for a weeknight dinner or an elegant meal for guests.

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (skin-on or skinless)
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped (plus more for garnish)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: 1 tsp lime zest, pinch of red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) or heat a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, lime juice, garlic, olive oil, chopped cilantro, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place salmon fillets on a lined baking sheet or prepare skillet with a bit of oil.
  4. Brush or spoon the marinade generously over each fillet.
  5. If baking, cook salmon for 12–15 minutes, until it flakes easily with a fork. For pan-searing, cook skin-side down for 4–5 minutes, then flip and cook for another 2–3 minutes, spooning marinade over the top.
  6. Garnish with extra cilantro and lime wedges before serving.

Notes

  • Use parchment paper when baking for easier cleanup and even cooking.
  • Add red pepper flakes or hot sauce to the marinade for a spicy kick.
  • Swap cilantro for parsley if preferred.
  • Serve with rice, quinoa, or roasted veggies for a complete meal.
  • Leftovers are great cold in salads or tacos.
