These Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Bites are the ultimate frozen snack—naturally sweet, easy to make, and loaded with flavor. Featuring creamy peanut butter sandwiched between banana slices and dipped in rich chocolate, they’re gluten-free, kid-friendly, and perfect for hot days or post-workout treats.

Ingredients

  • 23 fresh bananas
  • 1/2 cup natural peanut butter (no added sugars or oils)
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips (or chocolate of choice)
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil

Instructions

  1. Peel the bananas and slice into ¼-inch thick rounds.
  2. Line a tray with parchment paper. Spread peanut butter on half the banana slices and top with the remaining slices to form sandwiches.
  3. Place the banana sandwiches on the tray and freeze for 30 minutes.
  4. In the meantime, melt chocolate chips with coconut oil in the microwave (heat 1 minute, stir, then another 30 seconds until smooth).
  5. Dip each frozen banana bite halfway into the melted chocolate and place back on the tray.
  6. Freeze again for at least 30 minutes or until fully set.

Notes

  • Substitute almond butter or sunflower seed butter for peanut butter.
  • Optional: Sprinkle crushed nuts or shredded coconut over the dipped chocolate for added texture.
  • Store in the freezer in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
  • Let sit at room temp for 2–3 minutes before eating for best texture.
