  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a round cake pan.

  3. Add the eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Mix until the batter is smooth.

  • Add chocolate chips for extra richness.
  • Dark cocoa powder can be used for a deeper chocolate taste.
  • This recipe can also be made into cupcakes.
  • Pairs well with chocolate buttercream, cream cheese frosting, or chocolate ganache.
