Chicken Alfredo Air Fryer Calzones are golden, crispy pockets stuffed with creamy Alfredo sauce, mozzarella, and tender chicken. Made in the air fryer for a lighter, quicker version of classic calzones, these cheesy handhelds are perfect for busy weeknights, family dinners, or meal prep. Easy to customize with veggies or extra cheese, they’re a delicious way to turn simple ingredients into a comforting meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup Alfredo sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for brushing)
  • 1 package pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Filling: In a bowl, combine chicken, Alfredo sauce, mozzarella, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
  2. Shape the Dough: Roll out pizza dough on a floured surface. Cut into 4 pieces (6–7 inches across).
  3. Fill Calzones: Spoon filling onto half of each dough piece. Fold dough over and seal edges with a fork.
  4. Brush & Air Fry: Brush with olive oil. Place in air fryer basket with space between each. Cook at 375°F for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown.
  5. Serve: Let cool slightly before serving. Pair with Alfredo or marinara for dipping.

Notes

  • Add spinach, broccoli, or mushrooms for extra veggies.
  • Swap Alfredo with pesto for a fresh variation.
  • Use rotisserie chicken for a quick shortcut.
  • Freeze uncooked calzones and air fry from frozen (add 3–4 minutes).
  • Bake alternative: 400°F for 15–18 minutes.
