Ingredients

  • 12 oz spaghetti
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups tomato sauce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream (optional)
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • Chopped parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add diced onion and bell pepper, cooking for 4–5 minutes until softened.
  4. Stir in minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds.
  5. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart.
  6. Mix in Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  7. Pour in tomato sauce and diced tomatoes, stirring to combine.
  8. Simmer for about 10 minutes to blend flavors.
  9. Stir in heavy cream if using for a creamier texture.
  10. Add cooked spaghetti and toss until evenly coated.
  11. Serve warm, topped with Parmesan cheese and parsley if desired.
