Brown Sugar Overnight Oats are a quick, creamy, and nutritious breakfast option perfect for busy mornings. Made with rolled oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and your choice of milk, these no-cook oats soak overnight for a soft, satisfying texture.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • ½ cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 12 tablespoons brown sugar (to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a jar or container, combine oats, milk, brown sugar, chia seeds (if using), vanilla, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt.
  2. Stir well to combine.
  3. Cover and refrigerate overnight, or for at least 6 hours.
  4. In the morning, stir again. Add more milk if needed to loosen the consistency.
  5. Serve cold or microwave for 30–60 seconds to enjoy warm.
  6. Optional: Top with sliced bananas, berries, or nut butter.

Notes

  • For added protein, mix in Greek yogurt or a scoop of protein powder.
  • Swap brown sugar for maple syrup or honey for a natural sweetener.
  • Add chopped apples, peaches, or fresh berries before refrigerating for fruity variations.
  • Store in the fridge for up to 4 days—great for meal prep!
  • Use almond, oat, or coconut milk to make it dairy-free.
