An indulgent and flavorful dish combining crispy fries topped with juicy smash-style ground beef, melted cheddar cheese, fresh toppings, and a creamy burger sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb frozen or fresh fries
  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 preferred)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup pickles, sliced
  • 1/2 cup tomatoes, diced
  • 1 cup lettuce, shredded
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika

Instructions

  1. Cook the fries according to package instructions or bake until golden and crispy.
  2. Heat a skillet over high heat and add the ground beef. Press it down into a thin layer to create a smash-style crust.
  3. Season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Cook until browned and fully cooked.
  4. Break the cooked beef into small crumbles and set aside.
  5. In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, and smoked paprika to make the burger sauce.
  6. Spread the hot fries on a serving plate and immediately sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over them to melt slightly.
  7. Top with the cooked beef, followed by pickles, diced tomatoes, and shredded lettuce.
  8. Drizzle the burger sauce generously over the top and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use homemade fries for extra flavor and crispiness.
  • Choose ground beef with some fat (like 80/20) for best taste and texture.
  • Add crispy bacon or caramelized onions for extra richness.
  • Include jalapeƱos or hot sauce for a spicy variation.
  • Swap cheddar with American or pepper jack cheese if desired.
  • Store components separately in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
  • Reheat fries and beef separately before assembling to maintain crispness.
