Baked Salmon with Butter Garlic Sauce is an easy, elegant dish that delivers tender, flaky salmon drizzled in a rich garlic butter sauce. Ready in just 25 minutes, it’s perfect for both weeknight dinners and special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 4 fresh salmon fillets (skin on or off)
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Lemon slices (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
  2. Place salmon fillets on the sheet, skin-side down if using skin-on.
  3. In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Stir in lemon juice, salt, pepper, and chopped parsley.
  5. Pour the garlic butter sauce evenly over the salmon.
  6. Drizzle a little olive oil on top and garnish with lemon slices.
  7. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches 145°F (63°C) internally.
  8. Let rest for a couple of minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Add red pepper flakes to the butter for a spicy twist.
  • Swap parsley for dill or thyme for a different herb profile.
  • Mix in white wine with the sauce for a more luxurious flavor.
  • Great with roasted veggies, mashed potatoes, or salad.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days; reheat gently to maintain moisture.
