An elegant yet easy baked brie appetizer topped with honey balsamic cranberries, crunchy pecans, and fresh pomegranate arils for a warm, sweet, and tangy centerpiece.

Ingredients

  • 1 (8–10 oz) brie cheese wheel
  • 1 cup fresh or dried cranberries
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 1/3 cup pecans, roughly chopped
  • 1/3 cup pomegranate arils
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Place the brie wheel in a small oven-safe baking dish.
  3. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine cranberries, honey, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, and a pinch of salt.
  4. Simmer for 6–8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cranberries soften and the sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Pour the warm cranberry mixture evenly over the brie.
  6. Sprinkle chopped pecans on top.
  7. Bake for 12–15 minutes, until the brie is soft and melty in the center but still holds its shape.
  8. Remove from the oven and scatter pomegranate arils over the top.
  9. Serve immediately with crackers or sliced bread.

Notes

  • Leave the rind on the brie to help it hold its shape.
  • Dried cranberries may need slightly longer simmering to soften.
  • Add rosemary or thyme for a savory herbal note.
  • Best baked just before serving for ideal texture.
