This Baked Brie with Cranberries and Pecans is a warm, elegant appetizer featuring creamy brie, sweet-tart cranberries, and toasted pecans drizzled with honey or maple syrup. It’s quick to prepare and perfect for the holidays, dinner parties, or any time you want to impress with minimal effort.

Ingredients

  • 1 wheel (8 oz) brie cheese
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans (toasted)
  • 12 tbsp maple syrup or honey
  • Optional: 1 sheet puff pastry (for wrapped version)
  • Crackers, sliced apples, or baguette, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Place the brie on a parchment-lined baking sheet or in an oven-safe dish.
  3. In a small bowl, combine cranberries, pecans, and maple syrup or honey.
  4. Spoon the mixture over the top of the brie.
  5. Bake uncovered for 12–15 minutes, or until the brie is soft and gooey in the center.
  6. Serve immediately with crackers, sliced apples, or baguette.

Optional (Wrapped Version):

  • Wrap the brie in puff pastry, seal edges, and brush with egg wash.
  • Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 20–25 minutes, or until golden brown.

Notes

  • Try walnuts or almonds instead of pecans.
  • Swap cranberries with fig jam, apricot preserves, or a savory chutney.
  • Add fresh rosemary or thyme for an herby twist.
  • Best served warm. Reheat in oven at 300°F for 10 minutes—avoid microwaving.
