This Avocado Feta Dip is a creamy, tangy, and herb-filled blend that combines ripe avocados with salty feta cheese for a refreshing, flavorful appetizer or snack that comes together in just minutes.

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 3/4 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil, plus more for drizzling
  • 1 garlic clove, minced or grated
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh herbs (dill, parsley, or cilantro)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Optional: Pinch of red pepper flakes
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon chopped green onions
  • Optional: 2 tablespoons Greek yogurt
  • For serving: pita chips, sliced veggies, or crusty bread

Instructions

  1. Scoop the avocado flesh into a food processor or mixing bowl.
  2. Add crumbled feta, lemon juice, garlic, and olive oil.
  3. Blend or mash until mostly smooth, keeping some texture if desired.
  4. Season with salt, pepper, and fresh herbs, and mix well.
  5. Transfer to a serving bowl and top with additional feta, herbs, and a drizzle of olive oil.

Notes

  • Use lime juice instead of lemon for a zestier flavor.
  • Add Greek yogurt for a creamier, tangier texture.
  • Mix in red pepper flakes or jalapeño for a spicy kick.
  • Press plastic wrap directly onto the dip to prevent browning when storing.
