Air fryer turkey meatballs are juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection with a crispy exterior and tender interior. Healthier than beef meatballs, they’re easy to make and perfect for meals, snacks, or meal prep.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey (93% lean)
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (regular or panko)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup finely grated or minced onion
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley or 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Olive oil spray (for the air fryer basket)

Instructions

  1. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix ground turkey, egg, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic, onion, herbs, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into 1 to 1½-inch meatballs.
  4. Spray the air fryer basket lightly with olive oil and place meatballs in a single layer without overcrowding.
  5. Air fry for 10–12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until browned and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  6. Let rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Add red pepper flakes for heat or swap parsley for cilantro.
  • Try Mediterranean-style with feta and spinach or Asian-style with soy sauce and ginger.
  • Use ground chicken as a substitute if desired.
  • Don’t overmix the meat to avoid tough meatballs.
