Ingredients

  • 1 lb salmon fillets, skinless, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (plus extra for sauce)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 3 tbsp honey (or maple syrup)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated (optional)
  • 2 tbsp water
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish
  • Green onions, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Pat salmon dry; toss with cornstarch, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  2. Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Arrange salmon in a single layer; cook 8–10 minutes, shaking halfway.
  3. While salmon cooks, heat olive oil in a small saucepan over medium heat.
  4. Sauté garlic and ginger for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Stir in soy sauce, honey, and water; simmer 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Transfer cooked salmon to a bowl; pour sauce over and toss to coat.
  7. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions; serve immediately.

Notes

  • Add sriracha or chili flakes for a spicy version.
  • Swap honey for maple syrup for a different flavor.
  • Bake instead at 400°F (200°C) for 12–15 minutes, then toss in sauce.
  • Toss with sauce right before serving to keep coating crisp.
